Navigating by page

Use the forward or reverse arrows on the right and left sides of the page respectively, or the right and left arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate forward or backward by one page. When using two-page view, these buttons will navigate forward or backward two pages at a time. Note: If you are using a laptop with a touch screen monitor, the forward and reverse arrows on the sides of the page won’t appear. Instead, you can use the arrows on your keyboard, or you can swipe the touch screen.

Navigating via TOC (Table of Contents)

Clicking on a unit, chapter, or section title in the TOC menu will load the first page of that unit, chapter, or section of the book. Clicking on the down arrow next to a unit or chapter title will expand that unit to display its contents. Clicking the up arrow next to a unit or chapter title will collapse the contents of that item. Navigating via bookmarks If you have created any bookmarks in your eTextbook, there will be a third tab in the Table of Contents menu with all of your bookmarks listed. Clicking on one of the bookmarks will load your bookmarked page.

Navigating via page thumbnails

Clicking on the page thumbnails icon will open a panel with thumbnail images of each page of the eTextbook separated by chapter. Click on any of these thumbnails to load this page in the reader. Note: depending on your Internet connection, it may take a few seconds for the thumbnails to load.

Navigating via notes and highlights

Notes and highlights that you have created and those that have been shared with you will be listed in the My Data menu. Click on a particular note or highlight to load the page with that note or highlight.

Navigating via resources

If your eTextbook has been enhanced with additional resources such as videos or interactives, you will see them listed on the resources tab of the Table of Contents menu. Resources are organized by chapter with an icon next to each resource indicating the type of resource. Clicking on a particular resource will load the page of the eTextbook containing that resource and load the resource.
