LaunchPad, Writer's Help 2.0 > I got an Integration Middleware Application error message. What does this mean?

This message is often caused by your web browser's privacy settings. The Integration Middleware Application prompts you to immediately submit a report, but there are adjustments to your browser settings that you might try first.

Open a new tab or window and follow the instructions for your browser below. Once you have done that, try clearing your browser's cache. You may need to restart or refresh your browser for the changes to take effect.


Action for Safari

Open Safari Preferences

Open Safari. From the Safari menu, click Preferences.


Allow cookies

Click Privacy. Under Cookies and Website Data select Always Allow.

 

Action for Internet Explorer

Open the tools menu by clicking the gear icon in the upper right. Select Internet Options. Click the Privacy tab.

In Internet Explorer 11: Under Settings, select Advanced and choose to Accept both first and third party cookies. Then click OK.

In older versions of Internet Explorer: Under Settings, move the slider to the bottom to Accept All Cookies, then click OK.


 

Action for Firefox

Open the menu that looks like three bars at the top-right of your browser window and select Options, then Privacy. Then try each of the following two settings to see which one works for you.


Remember history

Under History, set Firefox will: to Remember History.

Under History, set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history. Check the boxes for Always use private browsing mode (you will have to restart your Firefox browser) and Accept cookies from sites. Then set Accept third party cookies to Always.

Action for Chrome

Go to Settings

Click on the button with three dots at the top right of Google Chrome, then click Settings.


At the bottom of the screen, click "Advanced"

Under "Privacy and security," click "Content settings"

Adjust cookie settings

Make sure the slider is on (to the right and blue) for Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended). Additional settings should have the slider off.
