These brief writing assignments encourage you to apply what you learn on the pages of Writer's Help 2.0 to your own writing. The prompts are correlated with the content for that topic. To complete Writing prompts assignments, please follow the steps shown below.
From the Assignments page
Click on the title or the arrow next to the Assignment unit which contains the Writing Prompts you wish to work on. In this case, we will click on Writing Prompts: Composing and revising to open it.
To complete the Writing Prompts:
- Read the Introduction.
- Use the spaces given to write your interpretation as prompted by each text box. The text boxes may be enlarged by grabbing the lower right corner of the box and dragging it out.
- When you are satisfied with your answer, click Submit.
Note: Once you Submit an answer, it cannot be changed. A completed Writing Prompts assignment cannot be retaken.
- Your Writing Prompts are provisionally accepted when submitted. Once your instructor has evaluated it, it will be graded and will record to your Gradebook.
- You can navigate to another page, or log out and back in again. You will be able to answer any remaining Writing Prompts when you return.
