Navigate to Site administration > Plugins > Activity modules > LTI > Manage external tool types.

On the Manage external tool types page, click Add external tool configuration.

Enter and select settings as follows.
  1. Tool name: Macmillan Learning Tools
  2. Tool base URL:
  3. For Consumer key and Shared secret, use the values provided by your Macmillan System Support Engineer or LMS Integrations Coordinator (see Technical Support for the Moodle Administrator).
  4. Check the box for Show tool type when creating tool instances
  5. Default launch container: select Embed
  6. Click the Privacy section header to expand it. For Share launcher’s name with tool and Share launcher’s email with tool, check with your Macmillan System Support Engineer. Ordinarily, Delegate to Teacher or Never is recommended, but when the “Auto-enrollment” feature is desired, both of these must be set to Always.
  7. Accept grades from tool: select Always
  8. Click Save changes

The Macmillan Learning tool will then be ready for instructor use in Moodle.
