iClicker Classic versions 7.9 and above work with MacOS Sierra and High Sierra, however there is a two-step workaround that you must complete in order to run the Classic software on your machine. This reflects a security change in MacOS Sierra and High Sierra that prohibits developers from delivering programs with supporting files and folders.
Please note that the following workaround is required even if your institution has its own customized software package.

- Download a fresh version of the iClicker Classic software from our website.
- Double-click the downloaded .dmg file to mount it, create a new folder called iClicker Classic (or similar), and copy and paste the iclicker.app file from within the .dmg disk image to within the new folder. The first time you run iClicker from this new folder, it will automatically create all the supporting files and folders and iClicker will function as normal.
- If you need the iClicker software to be integrated with your campus LMS, then you will need to copy your campus LMS_Wizard.xml file and paste it into the Resources folder of your new iClicker software.
If your school has customized software for LMS integration, there is another workaround that will allow MacOS Sierra users to take advantage of the pre-configured software packages. On a Windows machine, download, unzip/extract, and place the Mac or WinMac software package on a USB drive. You can then use that USB drive to run the Mac or WinMac software on your Sierra Mac computer.
Note: When new iClicker releases come out, you can use the Check for Update feature and upgrade to the latest version of the software.
