We at Intellus Learning recognize that U.S. educational institutions may be subject to the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA. Accordingly, we understand the importance of maintaining the security of any personally identifiable information from education records covered by FERPA and provided to us by the institution. To that end, we have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure of FERPA information. FERPA information, such as student content engagement analytics, which detail how and when students access course content (including time-on-task), are transmitted utilizing SSL encryption. Such data is held within the AWS cloud computing infrastructure utilizing state-of-the-art security systems (described more fully at: http://aws.amazon.com/security). Further, we will not use or disclose any FERPA information except as permitted under FERPA. Notwithstanding, if any rule, law, or regulation, including those of your own institution, requires your institution to obtain the consent of the student in order to utilize the Intellus Learning service, such obligation remains the responsibility of your institution.
