This article is about accessing the new e-book through Sapling Learning. If the steps described in this article do not match your experience with your Sapling Learning e-book, then you probably have an older version of the e-book. For help with getting student access to older e-books, see the help article How do I purchase access to the eTextbook?.

Click the entire e-book link

There are several links to the e-book throughout your course including within Flash-based activities, mobile assignments, and LearningCurve. Some of these links are to a snippet of your e-book (a specific section) and not the entire e-book. You can access snippets of your e-book without going through this process. Below are some examples of where you will find an entire e-book link.

On the course home page

The easiest way to access your e-book is from the course home page. Click on the e-book image or title under the heading eTextbook in the right sidebar to open the e-book.

In a mobile assignment

Click the Resources tab to show links to your e-book. Some mobile assignment questions will have a link to a specific section of your e-book as well as a link to the entire e-book.

In a Flash-based activity

Expand the eTextbook section of the Resources panel to see links to the e-book. Click the image of the book or its title to open the entire e-book. Note that this question also has a link to a snippet below the entire e-book link.

Sign up for a Macmillan Learning eBook account

If this is your first time using the new e-book in Sapling Learning or LaunchPad you will need to create an account or log in with an existing Macmillan Learning eBook account. If you already have a Macmillan Learning eBook account, enter the same e-mail you use for that account in the Email box. Otherwise, just enter the same e-mail you use for your Sapling Learning account.

If you are creating a new account:

You will need to enter your personal information and agree to the Terms of Use before continuing. Once you have entered the information, click Finish.

If you already have a Macmillan Learning eBook account:

You will be prompted to log in using your existing password. If you forgot your password, click the Forgot password link.

View your e-book

Once you are logged in, you will be taken to your e-book. You will not have to log in to your Macmillan Learning eBook account again. You will be automatically logged in each time you access the e-book from Sapling Learning.
