What resources are available in LaunchPad Solo for Professional Writing?

LaunchPad Solo for Professional Writing is packed with resources to help students sharpen their critical thinking, reading, and writing skills and promote the development of digital literacy. Units are organized by professional writing topics such as Collaboration, Research and Documentation, Design and Visuals, and Presentations and Meetings. You can assign an entire unit or choose only the resources and activities that fit your course.

Within the units, you'll find:

Video Activities

Digital Tips are video activities that include short writing activities. Digital Tips offer step-by-step guidance on how to use technology to support workplace writing, including synchronizing data, assessing software and hardware, creating templates, and organizing productive online meetings.

Digital Writing Tutorials are video activities that walk students through decisions related to creating a range of digital texts. Students can learn to develop podcasts, manage their personal brand, and build common citations in APA and MLA styles.

Model Documents

LaunchPad includes a wide range of effective professional writing models for students to emulate, including emails, résumés, cover letters, reports, proposals, brochures, and questionnaires.

LearningCurve Adaptive Quizzing

LearningCurve, a game-like adaptive quizzing program, helps students focus on the writing and grammar skills they need the most help with. When they get a question wrong, feedback tells them why and links them to additional instruction. For more information on the research behind LearningCurve and to find out what students and instructors are saying, visit the LearningCurve instructor site.
