Please see the directions below or the attached PDF for information on how to integrate Intellus Learning courses into Desire2Learn/Brightspace.


LTI Setup

  1. Log in to D2L and navigate to course
  2. Click Course Admin
  3. Click External Learning Tools
  4. Click Manage Tool Providers
  5. Click New Tool Provider button
  6. Fill in the following information:
    1. Launch point: https://YOURINSTITUTION.intelluslearning.com/lti/
    2. Secret: will be provided
    3. Check the box for Use custom tool consumer information instead of default
    4. Key: will be provided
    5. Name: Intellus Learning
    6. Check boxes for:
      1. Send tool consumer information to tool provider
      2. Send context information to tool provider
      3. Send course information to tool provider
      4. Send LTI user ID and LTI role list to tool provider
      5. Send user name to tool provider
      6. Send user email to tool provider
      7. Send link title to tool provider
      8. Send link description to tool provider
    7. Under Make tool provider available to, check the box for Current Org Unit
    8. Click Save and Close

Course-Level Integration

  1. Before starting, identify the course integration ID of your course from within the Intellus platform.
  1. Log in to D2L and navigate to course
  2. Click Course Admin
  3. Click Manage External Learning Tool Links
  4. Click New Link button
  5. Fill in the following information:
    1. Title: [title of how you want the resource link to appear to students]
    2. URL: https://YOURINSTITUTION.intelluslearning.com/lti/
    3. Type 2 in box next to Add custom parameters then click Add custom parameters and fill in the following information:
      1. Name: minitags; Value: true
      2. Name: tag_id; Value: course integration ID
    4. Under Security Settings, check bubble for Use tool provided security settings
    5. Click Save and Close
  1. Click Content
  2. Click Add a module or select the existing module where you would like to place the link
  3. Click Add Existing Activities and select External Learning Tools
  1. Select the module you just created
