What resources are available for my students?
From your LaunchPad home page, click Resources, then Content by Type. You'll see a list of all the resources available to your students. We'll now take a closer look at each.
Tutorials provide quick instruction for students on a variety of important topics, including reading, documenting sources, and designing documents. Students will find advice on everything from active readings strategies to how to track citations using Evernote and Zotero.
Activities provide students with the opportunity to practice the skills they've learned in class and in Palmquist's texts. They cover the major topics of research and writing, including using sources, annotating a bibliography, incorporating sources in context, avoiding plagiarism, and summary and paraphrase. These activities provide detailed feedback for incorrect responses to guide students toward the best approaches.
LearningCurve is an adaptive, formative quizzing engine that allows students to learn at their own pace. The LearningCurve in LaunchPad Solo for Research and Reference covers key grammar and citation topics as well as providing argument practice and additional materials designed specifically for ESL students.
Model Student Writing
Models of student writing offer examples for major genres of writing, including an argumentative research paper, an annotated bibliography, and a website.
Writer to Writer Videos
Writer to Writer videos highlight sticky writing situations in academic writing and provide timely, relatable advice for resolving them.
Grammar Girl Podcasts
