By default, your course will start with a status of Draft. This allows you to prepare your course without the possibility of students enrolling. When students try to enroll in a Draft course, they will see the following error message.

"This course is not open for enrollment."

To change your course status from Draft to Active, thereby allowing students to enroll, follow the instructions below.

Click the three dots to open the menu

On the main course page, in the upper right-hand corner of your course block, click the three dots icon.

Click "Edit"

Change the "Course Status"

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow next to the Course Status of Draft and select Active On from the list that appears.
  2. Select a date you would like to make the course active on. For immediate course activation, select the current date.
  3. You can also select the term and school year from the drop-downs below.
  4. When you are finished, click Update Course at the bottom right corner.

Students will now be able to enroll in your course.
