Black History Month: The Journey of Us
In a pretty interesting pedagogical technique, Google Earth commemorates Black History Month with a fascinating tour of Black History historical spots on today's Google Earth map.
As long as you don't mind some mild motion sickness, it can be quite a conversation starter to see the "zoom effect" of hopping all over the country to see snapshots historical hot spots in real time, 2019. While the tour clearly leaves out many historical chestnuts of black history, this could be a very interesting assignment for students in a black history course!
