I purchased a brand new access code with my text book. However, when I try to input the code it doesn't work.

Thank you for posting to our community. Are you trying to register your code at the direct URL to your instructor's course? If not, are you certain that you're starting from the correct LaunchPad title?
Here are registration instructions, for your reference:

If you're still unable to register after consulting these instructions, I recommend contacting our technical support team, who can look more deeply into the issue than I can as a community manager. You submit a ticket to tech support from our College Student Support Community by completing the web form. If you're logged into the community, scroll down to the Case History section and click Create a Support Case to launch the form.

I contacted the company and found out that the book store gave me a code
for a statistics class instead of psychology.
