In this one-hour webinar, Dr. Susan Nolan summarizes current research concerning:
• The value of incorporating scientific thinking into introductory psychology courses.
• Techniques that enhance student learning related to psychological science.
• The importance of deploying active-learning exercises to the classroom.
Susan Nolan will share a framework that helps students develop scientific and critical thinking, and will present examples of longer research modules that she embeds in her courses across the psychology curriculum - including introductory psychology. In addition, Susan will discuss how this research-focused approach aligns with the APA Guidelines for the Undergraduate Psychology major and builds on evidence-based, active-learning pedagogy.
